Low Temperature Gate Valve

Introduction:

Low temperature gate valve is applicable to such low-temperature media as methane, liquid natural gas, hexene, carbon dioxide, liquid ammonia, liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen and liquid hydrogen. The valve cover is designed as a long neck structure convenient for cold insulation to ensure that the temperature at the bottom of the stuffing box is kept above 0 ℃. A pressure relief hole is set at the inlet side of the ram to prevent abnormal pressure rise in the valve body cavity. Low temperature impact test shall be carried out for valve materials to ensure that the materials will not have brittle failure at low temperature. For low temperature gate valves below – 101 ℃, valve parts shall be subjected to cryogenic treatment before finishing.

1. Shell strength test at room temperature;
2. Upper sealing test at room temperature and low pressure;
3. Normal temperature and low pressure sealing test;
4. Low temperature upper seal air tightness test (when there is upper seal);
5. Low temperature gas seal test, etc., to ensure that the whole low temperature valve meets the requirements of the standard.
