Introduction:
Butterfly valve, also known as flap valve, is a kind of regulating valve with simple structure. The butterfly valve that can be used for switching control of low pressure pipeline medium refers to a valve whose closing piece (valve disc or butterfly plate) is a disc and rotates around the valve axis to open and close.
The valve can be used to control the flow of various fluids such as air, water, steam, various corrosive media, mud, oil, liquid metal and radioactive media. It is mainly used to cut off and throttle the pipeline. The butterfly valve opening and closing piece is a disc shaped butterfly plate, which rotates around its own axis in the valve body to achieve the purpose of opening and closing or adjustment.
Characteristic:
1. The butterfly valve is characterized by simple structure, small volume, light weight, low material consumption, small installation size, fast switching, 90 ° reciprocating rotation, small driving torque, etc. It is used to cut off, connect and regulate the medium in the pipeline, and has good fluid control characteristics and closing sealing performance.
2. The butterfly valve can transport mud, with the least liquid accumulated at the pipe mouth. Under low pressure, good sealing can be achieved. Good adjustment performance.
3. The streamlined design of the butterfly plate makes the fluid resistance loss small, which can be said to be an energy-saving product.
4. The valve rod is a through rod structure, which has good comprehensive mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and scratch resistance after quenching and tempering treatment. When the butterfly valve is opened and closed, the valve stem only rotates rather than rises and falls. The packing of the valve stem is not easy to be damaged and the sealing is reliable. It is fixed with the taper pin of the butterfly plate, and the extended end is designed to prevent the valve stem from collapsing when the connection between the valve stem and the butterfly plate is accidentally broken.
5. The connection methods include flange connection, wafer connection, butt welding connection and lug wafer connection.
The drive forms include manual, worm gear drive, electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic linkage and other actuators, which can realize remote control and automatic operation.

6. When the valve seat is fully opened, the effective flow area of the valve seat channel is large and the fluid resistance is small.
7. The opening and closing torque is small. Since the butterfly plates on both sides of the shaft are basically equal under the action of the medium, the direction of the torque generated is opposite, so the opening and closing is labor-saving.
8. The sealing surface materials are generally rubber and plastic, so the low pressure sealing performance is good.
9. Easy to install.
10. The operation is flexible and labor-saving. Manual, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic modes can be selected.
