Check Valves
Introduction:
Check valve refers to a kind of valve whose opening and closing parts are round discs and whose action is generated by its own weight and medium pressure to block the backflow of medium. It is an automatic valve, also known as check valve, one-way valve, return valve or isolation valve. The movement mode of valve disc is divided into lifting type and swing type. The lift check valve is similar to the globe valve in structure, only lacking the stem that drives the valve clack. The medium flows in from the inlet (lower side) and flows out from the outlet (upper side). When the inlet pressure is greater than the sum of the disc weight and its flow resistance, the valve is opened. On the contrary, the valve will be closed when the medium flows back. The swing check valve has an inclined disc that can rotate around the shaft, and its working principle is similar to that of the lift check valve. The check valve is often used as the bottom valve of the pumping device to prevent the backflow of water. The combination of check valve and stop valve can play a role of safety isolation. The disadvantages are high resistance and poor sealing when closing.
Classification:
The opening and closing parts open or close by themselves with the force of medium flow to prevent the medium from backflow. The valve is called a check valve. The check valve belongs to the automatic valve category, which is mainly used on the pipeline with one-way flow of medium. The medium is only allowed to flow in one direction to prevent accidents.
Structural classification
According to the structure, it can be divided into lift check valve, swing check valve and butterfly check valve:
1. Lift check valves are divided into vertical and horizontal types.
2. Swing check valve is divided into three types: single valve, double valve and multi valve.
3. Butterfly check valve is straight through type.
The above check valves can be divided into threaded connection, flange connection, welding connection and wafer connection.
Material classification:
1. Cast iron check valve
2. Brass check valve
3. Stainless steel check valve
4. Carbon steel check valve
5. Forged steel check valve
